Wifi the poles

Dear TDC,

Intel has now managed to set up a Wifi-hot spot on the North Pole. Huh… and I can’t even get an internet connection into my appartment!!?

Best,
Martin

  1. You live on the wrong pole, pal

  2. I’m seriously thinking about moving!
Btw, the news has spawned some great comments in Slashdot’s geekheaven:

    - shouldn’t it be called a coldspot?
    - now can we email santa?
    - intel -30 outside, but sure as hell not inside!

Of all the pathetic excuses for not posting more on your blog, I suppose this ranks as one of the better ones.
The TDC curse should not be taken lightly. We pity you.

  4. I need no pity. I need fricking open wi-fi from the sky. I have the money, i’m willing to pay the stack, I have all the lines in open and ready, but still I haven’t been on the glorious highway of information for about 2 goddamn months now, due to… well, I don’t even know for sure why!
Moreover I have a hard time seeing the coming of the much buzzed any-time-any-where networks – I predict instead, the coming of no-where-near networks… but they will probably screw that up as well..!?
